What are Integrations and How to Use Them?
Integrations enable effective connection between CertifyHub and other applications and services, allowing for automation of many processes. This helps you save time and improve work efficiency. Using our API, you can programmatically perform various actions in CertifyHub, allowing you to customize the platform to what you need most.
Why Use Integrations?
- Integrations let you automate repetitive tasks, significantly speeding up processes and helping avoid errors
- Integrations enable data synchronization between different systems, ensuring your data is current and consistent
- You can customize various platform functions to your company’s specific requirements, helping you maximize CertifyHub’s potential
What Processes Can You Automate with Integrations?
- Task creation automation — when a new record is created in CertifyHub, a corresponding task can be automatically created in your favorite project management tool, such as ClickUp or Asana
- Data synchronization — integrations allow for data synchronization between CertifyHub and Google Sheets, ensuring your data is always up-to-date
- Notifications — the system can send email notifications or Slack messages when key system events occur
How to Use Integrations in CertifyHub?
To start using integrations, follow these steps.
Get API Access Key
The first step is generating an API access key. This key will enable communication between your application and CertifyHub. Instructions for generating an API key can be found here.
Learn the API Documentation
Before creating integrations, thoroughly review the API documentation. Understanding endpoints, authentication methods, and data formats will help you use integration features more effectively.
Use Zapier Tool
Zapier is an automation platform that allows you to connect different applications without programming. Here’s how to create a sample automation (called a “Zap”):
Log into Zapier
Go to Zapier.com and log into your account or create a new one if you don’t have one.
Create a New Zap
Click the “Create Zap” button. In the “Trigger” section, select CertifyHub as the app. Determine which event should trigger the automation (e.g., “New Record Created”). Connect your account by providing the API access key.
Configure the Action
In the “Action” section, select the app you want to integrate with CertifyHub. Specify what action should be performed (e.g., “Create Task”). Customize field mapping to properly transfer data.
Test and Enable Your Zap
Test your Zap to ensure it works as expected. If the test is successful, click “Turn on Zap” to activate the automation.
