What are Credentials and How to Use Them?

Credentials in CertifyHub are tools that enable issuing certificates or badges for participants of specific programs. With credentials, the process of managing participant distinctions becomes simple, fast, and intuitive. You can easily create new credentials, manage their recipients, and review the history of issued certificates.

How to Issue New Credentials?

Go to “Credentials” Tab

Find the “Credentials” tab in the navigation menu on the left and click it. Then select “Issue a new certificate.”

Choose Program

Select the program for which you want to issue credentials. The program should be previously created and configured in the system.

Add Credential Recipients

You can add recipients in two ways:

• Manual recipient entry — enter required data like name and email address in appropriate fields
• Import recipients from file — prepare a recipient list in Excel (.xlsx) or CSV file, then upload it to the system

How to Prepare an Import File?

Download File Template

Use the “Download sample file” option in .xlsx or .csv format, available in the system. The first row in the file contains variable names required for proper import.

Fill in Recipient Data

Enter the name and email address of each recipient in subsequent rows. If you want to add additional variables (e.g., personalized information), add them in new columns. In the first row, enter exact variable names matching the system configuration.

Upload File to System

After completing the data and saving the file, upload it using the “Add recipients from file” button. The system will automatically import the data and display it in the credentials creator.

Tip: Empty fields in variable columns will be ignored by the system.

Publishing Credentials

After adding recipients, all information will appear in the credentials creator. You can now:

• Preview the certificate to ensure the credential looks as expected before it’s sent
• Publish the credential – click “Publish” to send certificates to recipients
